Seduction of Spirituality

Your Spiritual Insight

About

I used to play tennis competitively, and while I was travelling I did not study any degree. So what I did with my free time was read a lot of spiritual literature. Aside from that, I have had a big curiosity to know who I am, where I came from, and what the meaning of life is since I can remember. I don’t have any college degree. My education has been nothing special, not in terms of formal education anyway. But i do consider myself somewhat of a spiritual expert. Personally I think understanding who I am, where I came from and what I am doing here, is far more important than any formal education. A formal education can help you become a better intellectual and get a good job, which can make life more comfortable. But it can’t make you happy. Whichever desire we are trying to fulfill we try to fulfill because we think it will make us happy.

Therefore happiness is the goal of all goals. Spirituality can be defined as the study of how to become happy, and there is no more important course you can take in your life. Having a great education, a great job, and a lot of money won’t guarantee you happiness. In fact some people have all these things and are still miserable. This is because these people put too much emphasis on acquiring material things to become happy. Happiness can never be found in these things alone. Happiness consist of knowing where you come from, what your are doing here and where you are going when you die. This is what spirituality is about. We live in times where we search for our happiness in all kinds of outward things, but we never take the time to turn inwards where true happiness can be found.

In this blog I will share the spiritual insight I have gained so far in my life, as well as my experiences as I progress on my own spiritual path. I should also say that I am not religious. For me there is a difference between spirituality and religion. Religion is man made, while spirituality is just reality as it is. There is no dogma or set rules in spirituality. It is just life as it unfolds. I hope with this blog I can really help people to gain a deeper understanding of reality and more than anything help them to discover their own unlimited potential as human beings. I am on this path myself and I hope by sharing my experiences as I continue that people can join me on this journey and relate to me.

Interesting Blog ! I went to the same Alma “mantra”, although I was a professional soldier rather than athlete. I am self taught from self seeking, I enjoyed reading your “bio” and look forward to reading your posts. Yes I would like to exchange links, if you are still interested.

Sometimes I don’t see all the comments until much later, I just found yours. Thank you for visiting and sharing.
